Languages and cultures are the really important things to human beings, they could express the meanings as well as the development of a society. However, there is a heated issue today that many languanges and cultures have disappeared. As far as I am concerned, there are some reasons followed by could be explain this phenomenon.
The main reason is that the extension of English. It is said that with the English becomes one of the most common language, more and more countries, especially some small countties pay more attention to English, totally ignoring their mother tongues. They teach their pupils English, require their citizens learning English, or even use English to replace their own languages. Therefore, not only the local languages but also the historical cultures would disappear.
The nest reason that can not be ignored is that the local governments do not think much of the losing language.They do not consider that as the elders past away after decades, no people would know the old languages and cultures in some days.Because most of them are only managed by senior citizens.. However, even the government have concerned this phenonmenon, they never appeal schools to teach young students any native languages and cultures. As a result, after all senior citizens died, the local languages and cultures are certainly lost.
In short, according to a survey, there are five languages or cultures lost everyday. How to save the loss is becaming a crucial problem. Thus, in order to reserve the losing arts, the government should encourage people to use their local languages and set some interesting programme to brosdcast through radio station. Moreover, appeal the schools, especislly elementary schools to teach students local languages.
