carry trader 还会抛售澳洲asset..

不过我不是高手...beginner..

就个人看来，根据波浪理论，在一个反弹后，会再次下跌，不过应该不会跌破0。8大关，估计你看着6。1能买澳元时就赶快买吧。。。

个人澳元目标还是看0。9

反正我在0。8180的位置又下了5万澳元的多单，反弹应该是这个位置了

THE Australian dollar tonight slipped below the US 80 cent level for the first time in five months tonight after the currency's wildest day of trading in years.

After the end of local trading, the Australian dollar had fallen to US 79.84 cents at 1825 AEST – its lowest level since March 20.

The decline compounded a fall of more than US two cents during local trading.

The Australian dollar took at battering as investors pulled liquidity from the share market amid shaky credit conditions and a temporary closure at the Sydney Futures Exchange (SFE).

At 1700 AEST, the Australian dollar was trading at 80.45 US cents, down sharply from yesterday's close of 82.59 US cents.

During the day, the currency thrashed about in a two cent range between 82.02 US cents and 80.02 US cents – equalling the low set on March 21 this year.

Commonwealth Bank chief currency strategist Richard Grace said the Australian dollar sold off alongside the sharpest intraday fall on the local stock market in seven years.

The benchmark S&P/ASX200 index ended down 76.5 points, or 1.32 per cent, to 5711.5 at the close, after falling by as much as five per cent in early afternoon trade.

The All Ordinaries dropped by 89.3 points, or 1.54 per cent, to 5712.2, shedding $21.1 billion from the index.

The intraday low came amid a temporary closure of trade on the futures exchange, which stopped for emergency hardware maintenance.

The halt, which started at 1245 AEST and lasted until about 1400 AEST, caused nervous traders to look for alternative options to hedge against their equity exposure.

The sell-off dragged the Australian dollar to its low of the day before regaining some ground after the SFE reopened.

"It's further panic selling in the market, the unwinding of carry trades, the traditional movement in these sorts of times from countries with current account deficits into countries with current account surpluses," Mr Grace said.

He said the Australian dollar was likely to continue to follow the volatile equity market.

The currency's performance was weak across the board today, with the Reserve Bank of Australia's trade weighted index (TWI), which measures the local dollar's performance against a basket of currencies, down a hefty 1.6 points to 65.5 points.

It was the TWI's lowest reading since closing at the same level on March 21 this year.

不要期望太多

16：00澳联储刚刚注入了38亿元，明显开始市场干预了。。。最近，西方国家都在这样做。。。不过，关键看美国的次级按会不会爆发更多的破产倒闭，还有日元利率的调整。。。现阶段，估计还会有1-3个比较大型的美国信投基金倒在次级按上。。。所以相对来说，澳元仍有下跌的趋势。。。但作为澳洲自身经济上行以及澳洲联储进行自救，购买大量本国的货币，应该说澳元会止跌上调，甚至说快速上调。。。

  如果你是留学生，现在你应该要求父母换1万左右的澳元，然后汇入你帐户。。。主要为了2月份的开学费用之用，并且你还可以将钱存入银行，拿6.00%的利息。。。个人觉得，如果资金宽裕的家庭，现阶段购买2W澳元是很有必要的。。。注意一点，就算近期澳元还能再下行，甚至下探5.80关口，为保险起见，大家不要期待太多。。。

38亿会不会有点少？

我也觉得.. hedge fund都是几十个billion这样玩的,如果他们把钱抽出来,相对来说30多个亿确实有点少..

澳联储买本国货币就是很特别了

如果买100个亿以上的本国货币，会严重扰乱澳洲以及他国的汇率。。。并且，澳洲本身经济体不是很大，澳元汇率的过分增长，会造成投资者套利交易而做空澳元，同样会造成对澳洲金融系统非人破环。。。所以，38亿是澳联储为了对近期澳元进行修正性不久而作出的应有防范。。。

楼上指的扰乱汇率是不是指的投资者对市场自由程度的信心？
